Rounded out by pioneer valley heavy-hitters Ian Haas (drums) and Kurtis Guzik (guitar), the Doomsday Device channels the old school Hammond organ tradition—Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, etc., and refracts it forward and backwards through time, channeling wide-ranging influences from Ornette Coleman to Lefty Frizzell and J Dilla
